It's always hard to watch our children move on. But sometimes its nice to spend a little time with your spouse for a change, and remember what it was like before we were moms. I also can remember leaving home at 18 years old and giving barely a thought to my mom and dad left behind.

Been there, done that...
A nice graduation/going away party for my friend Vicki's son, who has graduated from Centralia Community College and is driving away to New York in a couple of weeks...
One of the guests - Pedro...
It's a big move for 20 year old Spencer to drive away from home 3000 miles, look for a job, work on a relationship...But, that is the kind of things our children (formerly our students) are doing these days.
Another friend took her daughter to Hawaii, a student at University of Hawaii. They had to stay two weeks to get her all settled in! But, I know it was hard to leave their baby there on her own.
So, this is the part where the moms are tough and let their kids go...we have each other for support and commiseration. Another mom saw her daughter married today...but at least she is staying in the same State, even the same county!
