Today we went out for a hike around Capitol Lake. We parked up by the courthouse and walked down that big steep hill, around the lake, to the Farmer's Market via the boardwalk, back around the lake and UP that hill to our car! It only took about 2 hours, with some stops. That last little bit was tough, but we survived!
This crow was in a fountain near the boardwalk, first drinking out of it, then bathing in it - having a grand time and then flew away when the audience got too big.
I don't usually like seagulls, but this one was posing so nicely and turned out nicely focused, so here he is...
We even saw a seal in the water!

We had a great phone visit with Walker last night. His team won their Homecoming game so everyone was very excited. He played his trumpet in the pep band too and is going to continue to do that. They wear old discarded football jerseys over their coats for a pep band uniform!
