June 18, 23 years of marriage

I bought this cake to celebrate. I did the writing on it, can you tell? Its a white chocolate raspberry truffle cake. We cut into it on June 17, afraid we wouldn't be hungry on the 18th -

Self portrait, taken in the bathroom mirror.

This is where we went to dinner, a little restaurant we went to once or twice many many years ago!
We were seated in the best table in the house - it was a little raised area with one table, with curtains around it. We loved it!

The weather's been pretty bad but today is a little nicer...

A little aside - this is unusual to find two different birds at the same feeder. Also, we saw a big brown bunny in our back yard today! We saw a deer on our way home from dinner too.

Phil brought me flowers! (23 of them) plus one in the upstairs bathroom.

Pretty!

And see my new necklace? It's rubies! Not the kind of red-clear rubies you see in rings with diamonds sprinkled around, but a kind of rough ruby stone, all polished. Very pretty.

And this book was my "card".
We read a lot of the poems before dinner.

And this is the card I made for Phil...

And two soaps my sweetie gave me.

We had a really nice dinner, and went for a walk along the boardwalk afterwards.
And, yes, we are too full for any cake tonight!
